What do 5 short + 1 long flash of my brake signal mean and how do I fix it?

I own a 1991 S-10 Blazer, 4x4, automatic, 4.3 engine. The brake light on the dash flashes
constantly, 5 short + 1 long flash. I can't get an answer even on what that means, let
alone how to fix it! My brakes seem to work fine, fluid is up, etc. The ight just keeps
flashing and its driving me NUTS trying to figure it out without spending a ton of money at
a mechanic or the dealer!

check your seal on your break fluid reservoir. Under the lid should be a rubber seal and sometimes it isn't seated properly and that can cause your break light to come on.

I'm guessing that is a OBDI warning code. OBDI used morse code signals to alert you of a problem. I don't have a list anymore but you could probably find a list on the internet under "OBDI Codes" ---there weren't that many to write down.
