My corolla just cut-off whilst I was driving and the engine sign was displayed, then it couldn't start again even after topping up water.

It just lost power and eventually died showing high temperature and the
engine motor sign on the cluster. I checked the water tank and used only
1litre to fill up. I tried to start but it didn't catch up and it drains my battery
quicker.

It its not turning over. It may be damaged beyond repair
What water tank, the plastic reserve 0r the radiator its self. Also check oil, you will lose power and over heat at the same time. Hope this helps and good luck. 96vaner
Also check alternator, if not charging right, and keeping battery charged can also lose power like you are describing, especially if battery drains faster. .. good luck. 96vaner
Remember the plastic overflow tank should be only about ¼ full cold. If you filled it to top it will spit out coolant when hot, and by hot I mean normal operating temperature. But if it has seriously overheated, it may be hydro-locked from a blown head gasket. 96vaner provided good information that I agree with
