Can I put 17" rims on my 2002 PreRunner XtraCab 2WD TRD? The truck is stock.

TYes you should be able to find a set of 17's. The key is to keep the same overall tire height with a lower profile tire. This is to keep your speedometer accurate.
Yes, you can put bigger rims on of course, but you will need new tires too. If you're going to sink all of the money into buying new wheels and tires anyways, you might want to go for an 18" or 20" package for a little more money, if that's the look that you're going for. 17s don't set a truck off half as much as 18-20s do.
I had 18's on my 2003 Tacoma. No problems with rubbing.
You have 18's on your 2003-did you need a lift kit? I just want to put a larger tire on my existing 2wd 2003, can I do that without rubbing? Any suggestions? Dean
