Car will not start

Mechanic told me I needed to change fuel pump
well he changed it when I got home turned off car
for a few mins tried to turn it back on and it
wouldn’t start what would be the problem it was
working better before I got the fuel pump changed

I'd say your mechanic doesn't know what he's doing . if it was working better before then I guess it wasn't the fuel pump , may be he made an honest mistake , let them know and take it from there , unless you want to start testing things and experience the wonderful world of auto repair ? ?. t
