Car will start only in neutral, but not in Park

I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla that will only start in neutral, but will not start when
it is in park. Does anyone know what could be wrong with it?

Thanks. Is it difficult/expensive? Hate to spend much on a 99. But it runs well so ....
