99 camry fans

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi my fan on the driver side (smaller of the 2) somehow melted to the motor
and i need a new one. do i need that fan for the car to function well and will
my ac work without it? will it ruin the car?
Now, i havent seen the fan on passenger side go on recently. how do i check
what the issue for that is

The driver side fan had to connections I had to undo? What was the second one? And how do I see why the passenger side fan doesn't work ( I left my car in park for 10 minutes and had the heat on and i didn't see it go on?
