when should the timing belt be replaced on a 1998 toyota 4runner 2wd

Hi, the reason I asked is to make sure it has a belt, From Toyota: Model Year Engine Belt / Chain / Gear 4Runner 1990-2000, 2010 4-Cylinder Chain...... 1990-2002 V6 Belt........ 2003-2013 V6 Chain .....so about 60,000 miles. You can go to: http://www.toyota.com/owners/web/pages/login ..have your VIN number ready and find out for sure instead of taking my word..because I am guessing.
David H25 thanks, I will check out that web site, 1515
Wait. I didn't need a VIN I downloaded the page myself.... look on page 100 of the scheduled maintenance/service guide for 1998 4Runner V6 and it shows 90,000 miles change timing belt
thanks again David H25 I will check with toyota because my mechanic stated that toyota had changed the service mileage on the timing belt but thanks for your time.
David H25, Toyota confirms, the timing belt change is recommended at 7years or 90,000 miles for a 1998 4 Runner. When I related that service info to my mechanic he gave me some BS*****.
Yeah, well he just wants in your wallet
Then again it is a '98... but did you buy it new? Maybe already been done
DavidH25 Im the original owner and had the timing belt last changed 67,200 miles
