Yes, that very well could be the problem. Top it off, usually I would say check at operating temperature but don't drive it that low. On my Corolla there are 'cold' marks on dipstick, running in Park. The, since the car is only sold in Japan, Malaysia and Singapore and parts of Europe. I don't know if the CEL works the same way as here, and your car is not really a Corolla. If you don't mind me asking, where are you? It can help me in further research if needed. Also what engine? Diesel, or 2.0L/2.4L gasoline?
I really need to know if you have the 2.0L -- 1AZ FE. That engine may be vibrating due to misfiring because it has direct-injection with a step-up fuel pump, that uses very high pressure on fuel to overcome the compression when injector opens. It injects directly in to cylinder and does not pass through intake valve, needing a tremendous amount of pressure. That could be it, the step-up pump.
