90 corvette hood wont release to close

If I read this right, your hood is stuck open and the support won't release. If that is the case, you release the hydraulic hood support cylinder on the longest (or only) support by pushing the lower, black, tube in the direction of the white arrow on the black tube while using your other hand to pull down the hood. The support tube must line up to release and slid together, allowing the hood to close
