I'll have to look again but the 55K answer sounds correct. mid year intro of a new drivetrain in a strike year, in a new body style. I have not found and will never find an accurate number of number of 65 ss 396 car produced. I hoping to find documentation of reported estimate. thanks. owner of 65 ss convertible L35, M50, C60. ps i live in about 15 miles from the Y factory and have a few friends that lived the changes and the strike. I will try to look thru my records. rh
Does anyone know how many 1965 Impala SS 396 were produced with the Muncie 4-Speed Manual transmission? I do not believe there are many as I have only found 1 and that's because of the net. I can't believe GM put a Holley 650 carburetor on as the stock one instead of one of their own.
