My 65 impala doesn't have power to parking lights or brake lights any thoughts on where problem might be headlights turn signals and rear backup lights wrk fine. Any help will be appreciated.

the bulbs are burnt. Your voltage regulator may be cookin' the stew with overvoltage. This ole boy has the three relay with point regu, unless it's been updated with a solid state one. Check the voltage. Should be dialed into 13,5 Volts. Change the burnt bulbs, change out your voltage regulator with a modern one, would be my suggestion.
Bob, you always come up with the weird stuff... The common denominator is the ground wire. High voltage isn't going to take out both filaments. Get your meter, check the voltage at the sockets and check the grounds. If there is no power, check the fuses. If the ground is bad, run a new one instead of hunting for the bad connection. You can have multiple ground connections.
