I would try Classic Industries or craigslist...Classic Industries would be better
i have the same car and i was blessed with both quarters for both sides they come with the car... they were from the factory still had the stamps and all though id share
wow, nice job. i did finally find some at Desert Valley Auto Parts
im in michigan so as u can imagin they were needed badly lol but i mean thos were the worst spots beside a lil spot on the roof
im also in michigan, mine are almost completely gone and so are the floors, fenders, doors etc. its going to be a project but ive got time
ya well mine soild all the way around not to sure how but it is and i love it just alota body work... mine is a true ss427 fast back whats urs?
mines just a fastback. originally a 327 car but motor and trans are gone. only reason i bought it is i had one in high school and have wanted to build another one for years
ahh very nice i like the way they look there big cars but there very nice
yeah, i think theyre the best looking big chevy from 58 thru 76. did you buy the one on ebay a little while back. there was a 427 car with most nos body parts for sale but it was to much money for me
well to be honest every part for that car i need is my garage i have boxs apon boxs of stuff for this car i got a million emblems even tho mine only needs three on the outside and the one on glove box lol i have it all its just findin the right box it all just needs to be put back together thats all
i decided to clean my garage BEFORE i started this project. found alot of stuff from my former john deere obsession, sold alot on ebay to help finance the impala
nice does urs have the holes for the almost like bumper thing that runs down the side
yes it does. most ive seen have them. with the right color they actually look good. im thinking of painting mine maroon with old style corvette rallys. i hate the yellow and since its not an SS or anything special im not going to do a correct restoration. im not going to do much else but change the color and add buckets and a console
ya ive filled the holes for that stuff on mine i dont much care for it. im gonna leave the seats bc both benchs are in good shape
just found a posi warning sticker today. ill check that out tomorrow. starting to disassemble tomorrow. now the work begins.
lol ya mine is pretty new as in not used but its been in there a while lol
it is a posi, 10 bolt but better than nothing. ill check the ratio next week. disassembly went well. boy is it rusty
spider gears are welded in mine on top of being a posi so ill have to invest in a new one soon lol but its a 4.11 to 1
that will work. 456s would really wake that 383 up in that heavy chevy
might want to think about some 355s or 373s for cruising.
im gonna see what stocck spec is and prolly put it back to stock when the time comes
yeah, for street cruisin that would be better unless you want to have a little fun at the strip
not really looking for the strip just to show off a lil better than the next guy at the dream cruise
i grew up in royal oak in the 60s. my dad used to run a 55 chevy smallblock, turbo 400 538 gears on woodward. high 10 second car. that 327 would scream! he shifted at 8200. is it still known as US 10 dragway?
no when we go race its just woodward or telegraph no fancy names lol
LOL. dad used to work at northland collision in ferndale. got out of work at 5, didnt get home till LATE. he still tells stories of woodward and telegraph. always brings a smile to his face
good times where had lol guy at work is the same way but his dad worked for ford and send him out in a new mustang and see what or how was beating it then hed tell his dad and the dad would go to work and theyd improve on the mustangs
had a neighbor up here whose dad worked at ford. his first car was a 429 mustang. his name was bill humphrey
My quarter panels are in good shape on my 67 impala Fastback, but the trunks rain "gutter" lip edge is rusted beyond belief! Any suggestions on this??
