Regular unleaded gas will work just fine, bottle of fuel system cleaner once a month helps...

Make sure you vehicle was designed to run on ethanol based fuel, I'm not sure. If not, you may have to change a few hoses and fittings, as ethanol tends to damage rubber components not specifically designed for ethanol blends.

Rowefast wrote "Regular unleaded gas will work just fine" which is 100% right especially with a good fuel treatment, and OJ makes some good points about ethanol based fuels. Most fuels with ethanol contains 10% to 15% ethanol depending on your state. Premium gas can run .30 to .45 cents a gallon. Then again premium gas also burns cleaner and a gallon takes you a bit further compared to the cheap stuff. It doesn't hurt to run the premium gas about every one to two fill ups. I have noticed my valves will have a rattle (especially going up hill) if I don't use premium gas every two fill ups. Gone are the days where you could find just about anywhere 104 to 110 octane racing fuel.

All good points...but where I live, have no choice in fuel, either unleaded, or premium, so the car can run ethanol fuel as it is a 2010 impala, but my truck I have to run premium since it is a 1995 Chevy that I built a 400 hp motor that sits in it. I don't know, this ethanol stuff dose gum up injectors & carburetors on the older ones...premium all the time or unleaded with a gas treatment...

Rosenfast: If your 400 HP motor needs a little boost because of a higher compression ratio you should be able to pick up some 100 or 100+ octane fuel at a local small airport. Piston powered aircraft are still exempt from the ethanol route, I believe. But be careful. AvGas may still contain lead. If you have a cat converter you will really gum up the works. I use to use AvGas in my 63 Olds until I sold it.

Thanks for that OJ, headers and 3" exhaust, no cats. Also I put a octane boost additive in once in a while, motor has less than 5000 miles on it in three yrs. And our local air-port stop selling their fuel, but there is a place 70 miles from here, so not feasible unless there are bets...ha.ha.

Premium is just fine but you probably don't need it. The worst that will happen is that you waste some money.
