looking for a box for a 1979 f-150
I bought a 1979 f-150,and the box is fairly rusty.I would like to change it.I am in Canada.
search local salvage yards.
Boy, I tell you. Finding a clean box for the 79 is like finding hens teeth up in our neck of the woods. I live in Maine and had the same problem and ended up putting a bed from a 1989 on instead. Not direct match as far as the body lines go but it looks acceptable in my opinion. I have included a photo for your consideration. It was either that of try to rebuilt the old one which was just way to far gone. You may want to look around down south in the US. Arizona and so on. I am sure they are down there but getting them to you without dents and damage is another issue. I wish you luck with your 79. Fine trucks. Back when trucks were trucks and not like today where trucks are cars with beds on them.
