Can you track a analog signal

Asked by Kim Jan 06, 2016 at 07:51 PM about the 2005 BMW X3

Question type: General

We are looking for a missing person. He owns a 2005 BMW x3 SUV The
dealer said it has an analog signal but no way to track it. Do you know of
any way???? Update (1/6, 5:53 PM): We've found out that Craig's car may
have the ability to output an Analog signal. This is an older technology that
has since been replaced by digital signaling. BMW has told us that it is not
possible to locate him as his vehicle is Analog. Can anyone with knowledge
of these systems tell us if there's any way to make this work? Maybe with
older equipment? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Analog is a thing of the past, but not for our military, they use it for communication purposes because it is less likely to be tracked, this is why all analog went digital, now for his car to be a 2005,there should not be any analog systems in it,the stereo would be digital in this model and has a serial number on it,but this would not even be trackable because it is only and input system unless it has sirus or xm radio, analog can be tracked but only if has and out put signal and would have to be pretty close to it,sorry for the bad news, but i am still wondering what is analog in a 2005 except and old school dial clock,
