What do you do when you aren't getting power to the cam-sensor on a 1999 F150 Cab 4.6 xlt?

have you looked at the engine fuses? trouble will show up on your onboard diagnostics, $40 will buy you a code reading device or you can take it to the autoparts store or mechanic who will read the codes, this is probably OBD-II.

fuses are good but the computer wont link

like...um, what is on the scanner display? there are connecting pins and a receptacle...maybe some bubble gum is blockin' the connection...the display has to say something...at least "am connected" right now. Somethin' is fishy in whitefish bay.

still crank, all lights ok ,key on ,guages come up, powered up ,no start ,when cranking over, pour fuel in carb see if fires up ,if so then fuel,trouble check fuel rail shrader valve for fuel pressure

the battery connections free of corrosion? the Ground lug from the battery clean and sparky-fresh. Connections to the engine block sound an in place?

...sounds like 'brown power' and needs to have corrosion removed from the electrical.

yeah, kbro connectors disconnect themselves? wires can be abraided and end up shortin' but only thru extreme vibration will a connector stop workin'...I mean environmental concerns are there, sure there's an arctic package or a death valley package for options available--semi-conductor devices do not actually go bad by themselves but need to be physically or electrically altered....so again, grounding is needed here-

there are these things called rodents bob they like wires i cant tell you have many wiring repairs ive done because of them. Im just giving the man some ideas.
