ford f150 cranks but wont startfuel pump not turning on just replaced a year ago

There is a test you can do that will possibly tell you what it going on with the fuel pump. Next time it won't start, hit or kick the fuel tank as hard as you can. If the pump starts running then you need a new fuel pump. Also check the fuse.
