'91 Ford F-150

Asked by Micahtron Oct 12, 2017 at 09:56 PM about the 1991 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm having some issues with my 91 F-150, manual
transmission, straight 6, 4.9 liter.

First my fuel pump is not getting power even after
replacing the fuel pump relay. Any ideas?
Also, after replacing the battery solenoid the
battery is draining as if the lights were left on
(which they are not.) There were a couple of
shorted fuseable links, but those were replaced.
Starter and battery are both good.

Fuel pump cut off switch, not sure if it’s in the same place as 92-96, if it is then check the top of the passenger side kick panel. There should be a notched out area to press the switch down and feel for a click, it’s designed to shut down the fuel pump in the event of a crash
