Check engine light

I changed the oxygen sensor on my
2006 Chrysler Town and Country but the
check engine light still is on will that
eventually go off or do I need to get it
cleared and it still shows that the oxygen
sensor needs to be replaced

After doing the repair you have to clear the code and watch if it comes back. A scanner can clear the code but it can also be done by disconnecting the battery for about ten minutes.
