Sounds like it needs a new fuel pump sending unit. Sometimes call a fuel module assembly.

Also because of the over load of gas from tank it may have made it into the evac system & charcoal canister and flooded the system and its filter in can.
i was driving on high way and my truck shut off and wouldent start and i got out smelt gas i looked and its poring out from on top of the gas tank from the fuel pump
