Why is my lights and locks isn't working unless i turn the truck on??

I have a 2004 dodge ram.... I put a
radio in it now my lights and locks
isn't working unless i turn the truck
on....

There's the problem with messin' around in the dash- but you already know that- and now I'm s'posta figure it out?! maybe one of the other Gurus has a better crystal ball than mine-

The problem with Dodge is that everything electrical runs through the instrument cluster. So if you spliced off anything with power that goes directly into the harness for the cluster there is your problem. Double check everything remove the positive wire and run it off the fuse box where there is a fuse or point that turns on and off with the ignition switch and that should fix your issue provided you put everything back the way it was before you put in the radio.
