Does it have gas and have you changed the fuel filter. Could be fuel pressure regulator. Does it have a pick up in the distributor?

It has gas in it now. I ran outta gas when problem.started it does not have an in line filter just a boot on the bottom of pump down in the tank. I'm not sure about pick up in distributor. I'm a girl and new to this.

All vehicles have a fuel filter and so does yours. Given you have no idea of how to find the problem that may be a fuel pump relay, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, Ignition problem such as cam or crank sensor or pick up , I would recommend a mechanic take a look. You must have fuel and spark for a vehicle to run.

I said it didn't have a in line fuel filter the fuel filter on 2003 dodge ram is in the fuel pump itself I might have mentioned I was a girl but I didn't say I was a stupid girl I don't understand what you mean by a pick up in the distributor, I don't know shop talk. And my truck cop system witch is each plug as an individual coil I understand that there has to be a place that send the spark to each coil

The pick up coil is attached to the distributor and the ignition control module. It sends signals to the Computer witch indicate when the ignition coils should fire. Look for a wire coming form your distributor it is connected to the part needed in the distributor. Check the drives door jamb to see if your truck was manufactured in 2003. Vehicles manufactured in late 2003 are consider 2004
