i have a 4.7 v8 318 iin my truck. 2002 dodge 1500. i want to put a 360 magnum in it. do i have to change trany as well?

are you sure its not a 5.2, that is a 318, if it has a 5.2 it will all interchange , you can even use same engine harness and computer, if it has a 4.7 it will need another pcm and harness, and transmission , the bell housing is different, but you can put a 5.7 hemi on that transmission, good luck

yea, they bolt right to it, it should have a rfe transmission, they rarely go bad, the hemi uses the same trans in the trucks , 5.7 hemi will be the cheapest way to go if you want good power for minimal cost,

the 5.9 is rock solid reliable , cheap to find, and plentiful, you will just have to swap transmissions, but if thats what you want , honestly you can find a motor and trans for the price of just the engine if it was a 5.7 hemi
