tranny shiftin problems

2000 ram 1500 2 wheel  I rebuilt rear end    truck up on jacks 4 a wk   when done test drive I hear a whinnin noise from tranny  at least that's were it sounds like   now it wont shift right  has plenty of fluid I know nothing bout trannys so I really need help

hi can you describe how the trany is acting...and what gear it is not shifting into ...and also what did you do to the rear ...new ring and pinion or just replaced bearings ...also is the whine there all the time or just when you move

    We have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.2. Tranny was working fine 2 days ago, yesterday it wouldn't shift in to OD. The OD on/off light in dash works when you push button. Any help??
