how do i change positive battery cable on dodge ram 1500 1998 truck..... previous owner jerry rigged cable.

on this model, it's a straight shot from the battery clamp to the starter solenoid, located on top of the starter...should be 1/0 red battery cable with lolipop with a hole ends. will try to come up with a length spec for you but a 25" cable will do nicely.
