Can I add engine oil to my 2001 miatas
that has froze up?

You can add oil but it will not fix the damage. You need a complete engine rebuild.

How cold did it get? It's still autumn here. Or do you mean you overheated it and threw a rod and it "locked" up? If the latter chase a used motor.
