I have a 2006 Mini Cooper 5 speed losing power a little more EACH DAY!

I really need some answers! It has been years since I have had a 5 speed car...
I live in an area with a lot of steep hills. This little car is barely making it up the
hill!...It isn't making any noises...I desperately need for this issue to be a
DIY????? HELP!

Can you tell or feel what gear you are in going up the hill? It may not be downshifting properly. How many miles on the car? How does it shift when accelerating or decelerating?
