This is to tmh5..... I bought a 2006 mini Cooper S in
February of this year and same problem started almost
immediately. A few things were from the car sitting parked
for a while and not driven but the latest thing I’m told is the
‘clutch fork’ or possibly the clutch.? Being a female I’ve
had to Google everything that I need to know about the car
because there was not a manual with it, but I do not
understand anything about clutch fork or clutch period!
One person actually look at it and told me it was going to
be a very hard job and the front and would practically have
to be taken off.? Several other people that I’ve talked to
have said yes it is it difficult job, one even saying 15 to 16
hours to do the job if that’s what it is exactly. My question
is one day it was perfectly fine, shifting just fine,& The next
day it was getting really hard to put into gear, like really stiff
and then all of a sudden it would only going to reverse.
Have you any knowledge of something like this or
something that might can help me out that I can pass on to
someone else who I might get to work on the car for me?
