2006 Subaru Forester non turbo stalling at low revs
My forester presented a solid cel and flashing
cruise control light. It wasn’t presenting any
problems other then it’s stalled rarely at low
rev and the brake lights weren’t working even
though the fuse was okay. Got the codes
read and it was a weak brake signal so
cleared the code (cel and cc lights went off)
and changed the brake light switch. While
changing it I notice this green switch
unplugged (must’ve been done by previous
owner which has me suspicious as I’ve just
bought this car) under the dash and plugged
it in, this seemed to turn on a flashing CEL
light (haven’t had thes code/s read yet) and
the car is now stalling about twice every time
I drive it it’s always at low revs, doesn’t
matter whether the engine is cold or warm.
I’ve noticed that my brake lights still turn on
while the car is off but the parkers switch is
off. I’m thinking it’s possibly a short in the
wiring somewhere? Any advice or opinions
are appreciated
