I had passat 2006 few days ago start having faint oil warning light on, is not shiny light just faint ! Mechanic checked oil pressure and oil pump he said every thing is fine in the car but lights on

If you are using regular oil not synthetic then you may have a sludge issue. many VW Audi had the problem You oil pump screen may be clogged try a couple cans of cleaner change oil use synthetic or synthetic blend. may do this 2-3 times other wise drop the oil pan and clean pan & screen if needed. I do not think it is bearings unless you have 200K+ miles Good luck
