Interior lights

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The interior lights don't come on when the doors open or when I operate the central
locking. The lights will come on with the switch, 2006 Passat. Any ideas?

If none of the doors actuate the light, I'd suspect the courtesy lamp assembly itself. If certain doors don't actuate the light, the door latch mechanisms for those doors become suspect. Best to scan the car for codes through dealer or find an independent VW specialist with Vag-com.

Had this problem in my 2006 VW Passat (B6). In the drivers side fuse panel, check fuse #15. Mine was blown, so I replaced the 5A fuse and got all my interior and trunk lights back.
