2002 tdi jetta.....the gauges stopped working ....so I disconnected the battery to see if it would reset itself......connected the battery and went to start the car it turned over and ran for a coup...

Clutch wont disengage. If it's in gear and the clutch is in it will still move and if you stop the car will die as if you dont push the clutch at all. But the clutch doesn't slip at all. 2 Answers

Could it be the throw out bearing or the slave cylinder?
