Buyer protection
Is there anything you guys do to protect the buyers
that use your website to find a car? I purchased a
car listed on cargurus on Thursday and 5 days later
am paying $2400 to fix a non disclosed problem on
a car I only paid $3200 for. Thank you for your
assistance.

You can buy certified cars or cars with warranties. Most used cars are sold as-is.

No but you can try and help yourself, by checking for open recalls and also taking back to dealer for repairs. What was the problem?
As-is means nothing. No one in the car business knows anything about legality of the law and since the late 1980's they have been putting this bullshit on their sale agreements to prevent and scare people off from lawsuits. Unless specifically stated in the bill of sale and agreement that there are "x-y-z" problems" with the car, then the car is not as-is. You cannot sell anything AS-IS unless specifically designated in the contract that the vehicle is as-is. Which you would then have to list every part and model # on the car. You see what im saying? You can always sue. AS-IS means nothing.
