2.0 engine

Asked by Sarah9696 Jan 07, 2010 at 12:46 PM about the 2000 Volkswagen Jetta

Question type: Car Customization

Does anyone know how to make a 2.0 engine from a 2001 Jetta fit into a 2000 Jetta? I have a 2000 Jetta with a blown engine. My husband ordered an engine from a 2001 thinking that's what year I had. Now just wondering if there is a way to make the 2001 engine fit into my 2000 or do we have to return the engine and waste 25% of the money for the restocking fee? Please help!

It may or may not fit depending on the engine code; AEG, AVH etc. The yard who sold you the engine should've known and also could check in the computer if the engine fits your car or not. Good Luck!!
