gear shifter slips from drive to manual then I have to push it hard to the right to engage drive

Been off-roadin' it? guessing one of the transmission mounts is torn causing the lever to jump...just a theory, now...but wouldn't hurt to look under there with a flashlight, and perhaps bump the assembly to watch any action.

No I haven't been off the pavement. I was guessing that it might be a pin that is worn on the shift selector. Thanks for your reply. I will check the trans mounts.

Any chance you got that fixed? I am thinking about buying an 08 s60 but it has the same problem.
