Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car starts but keeps cranking. Turn it off. Still cranking. Got it to stop by disconnecting
the battery now. Nothing. Lights and that stuff work. Good battery. Never had this prob
before. It sounded like a whizzing sound. Pretty friggin scary. Thinking of checking CPS.
Any suggestions???

Could be a bad starter solenoid, or possibly a faulty ignition switch or starter relay stuck closed. You can test the starter relay by swapping it with another one of similar rating found in the under-hood fuse/relay block.
