Crankshaft positioning sensor

Your vehicle does not have a crankshaft position sensor but it has several other things that work to provide spark. Check spark plugs, spark plug wires, coil, distributor if it has one. Have it scanned for codes if someone has a scanner for OBD (one) pre-1996. It will be something electrical.
Thank you for answering. So when i turn key on and off a couple of times to read codes it comes up with 13 which is map sensor vacuum circut. How do I check that or where do I look?

The MAP Mean Absolute Pressure sensor is located on, and threaded into the intake manifold to give vacuums reading to the engine computer. If you can locate it, check for looseness or a disconnected connector. If you are sure this is code 13, you might just go ahead and replace it as there is no bench top test, nor does it cost much. It might even be stuck with carbon/crud. Google for more info on code #13.
Thank you. How many wires at the connector of the MAP sensor?
If MAP sensor is bad would it cause a no start situation?
