have you ever rebuilt the engine or put any aftermarket parts on one of these before?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 1984 dodge daytona turbo Z, and i am trying to find out if anyone has ever done an engine rebuild on one. Im just wondering how difficult it would be or how much it would cost to rebuild the engine before i go dig into it.

It's not particularly any more difficult than any normal engine rebuild. There isn't too much availability of aftermarket parts for a car this old. The engines are fairly straightforward, we worked on one at the Dodge dealer a few months ago. You can normally get a rebuild kit from Advance Auto Parts, or get the parts you need individually.

i got a drag based chip and tune for mine straight from mopar but if you consider that option be ready to searche hardly
