The link you posted is for a Grand Cherokee. I have an 85 Grand Wagoneer with the 360 V8 5.9L.
From: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_change_the_oil_pump_on_a_1985_Jeep_Grand_Wagoneer 1. Remove oil filter. 2. Remove the housing that the oil filter screws into- about 6 bolts (7/16). 3. Slide out gears (two). Inspect face of housing for wear- it will look like a set of scratches from the gears. If really scratched, sand down or replace with new or install a mid-plate. Also check pressure relief spring to make sure it is set properly. Reinstall: 1. slide the gears in proper position, 2. check proper clearance of gears in relation to housing, 3, pack the entire housing with petroleum jelly making sure it comes out the in/out ports so you will prime at start up. 4. Bolt back up 5. Fill oil filter with oil 6. Start her up

The Wagoneer and Cherokee were basically identical, except that the Wagoneer had vertically stacked low and high beam headights with front turn signals moved behind the grille, and the woodgrain side panels of SJ tradition.
