Carbi float chamber emptying but no visible leak.

I have a 68 type 1 beetle with a pict30-1 carbi. The fuel float chamber empties
if the car sits for more than a couple of hours bu5 there is no visible external
leak. Any suggestions?

Heat from the parked engine can boil the gas out of the carb and it will dribble down into the intake and engine, flooding it on start up. It's something like "vapor lock", common in hot Summer climates. Just make sure you are using fresh gasoline if this car has been in storage. Gasoline is blended for the season....Winter vs Summer. Winter blend will boil easier than Summer blend.
