Turn signals and emergency lights not working.

Asked by Guru2KQ76 Mar 01, 2020 at 06:46 PM about the 1973 Volkswagen Beetle

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When operating turn signal lever, the green light on the dash comes on but
doesn't flash. When turning emergency light rocker switch on, the switch
illuminates but doesn't flash. When either of these items are used no
exterior lights come on. Also, does this car have a flasher relay? If so, where
is it located.  Thanks

SHOULD HAVE TWO FLASHER RELAYS. ONE FOR SIGNALS AND ONE FOR EMERGENCY LAMPS. THEY ARE UNDER THE DASH. THEY SHOULD BE IN BRACKETS TO THE FIRE WALL. YOU WILL NEED A FLASHLIGHT.
