Go to your local shop and they can pull it up for you. I know for a fact Sears will do this for you if you call them.

The battery for most aircooled beetles is located under the passenger side of the backseat. Most batteries will fit in that compartment but don't get one with a large handle on top. I went to my local auto parts store and had no problem buying one off the shelf.
