Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just drove this 2007 Passat beauty I purchased off the Enterprise Rental Car car lot. They did thourough analysis and certification on this car. Day later, Engine Malfunction symbol is illuminated.  Anyone have this happen to them?  What could this mean? Surely this must be something simple....

Need to have the codes read and see what the MIL is indicating. Could be any of 150+ different things from small to major.

I too just purchased a 2006 Passat. I've had it 2 weeks today & the MIL Light came on while driving home. Im very pissed off. If it is minor okay..but if not i guess l have to eat the cost to repair. Car is running great. Any guess as to what it could be??
