Wrong battery connection

I put the negative cable to the positive side of car battery and positive cable to negative side.  after reversing them, my 2007 Mazda 6 will not crank.  What did I mess up?

You blew a fuse. Check all of them. You might have melted a wire. Check all ground connections. Most likely a fuse.
