This problem is caused by a faulty fuel regulator on the High Pressure fuel pump. I had the same issue and replaced the fuel pump. Was throwing code P2296. Hope this helps.
I have the same problem as yours buddy...thanks for posting the problem...I will do what you did to your car...
My ESP light came on and the car started trembling bad - while idling and accelerating. I put so much money and labor in the issue to later find out it was just bad coil packs. Stupidity enough I skipped a simple step, PLEASE everyone check your packs. After I changed them the issue went away

Hi can you help me on what all did to get your car back running right, because I just had my coil packs done, and problem is still there.i need her on the road.lol
I personally changed the spark plugs and coil packs to NGKs and did a carbon clean and cleaned the throttle body
I had an intermittent ESP Fault Light that would come on and my car would lose power and sputter. If I turned the car off and restarted the problem would go away. Turned out to be bad coils and spark plugs.
