Hello- Have a '73 Luxury LeMans 100% complete and has only 39,990 miles on it. It was billed on Hemmings as having the 455V8 special order, however titled as 350. Ordered PHS on it. Any help?

I suspect your car had an engine swap. Back then it was easy and lots of people did it.
Received the PHS documentation today and it didn't clear things up much. Shows it is a Luxury LeMans and it could have came from factory with a 400 or 455... yet the VIN identifies a 350. Guess I better get the code off the engine block next.
Both the 400 and 455 were available and less common than the 350 but they would have been identified as such in the VIN coding. I agree with FOR, someone has probably swapped the original 350 out for a 455 block (or it really still has a 350 but badging for a 455). Makes you wonder how truthful they are about the 39.9K miles. Did the seller offer and documentation for such low miles on this 45 year old car?
Taver91- I have all the original documentation from the seller dating back to July of 1973. From that information I have gathered that 39.9K is accurate mileage. Only things I've done to the car is oil change, tune up (spark plugs and wires), and a new gas tank (DeLorean Pontiac... gonna have rust).
