2005 chev cobalt sputters when at idle.

Asked by dvf1141 Mar 23, 2010 at 12:41 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

cobalt sputters at idle like it is going to die.  Replaced the knock sensor but it still does it ( now more often)  this happens when engine temp is warm.  Do I have to reset something?  The car runs at 194 to 198 degrees.

You might try cleaning the air intake valve. I had the same problem and it worked for me.
