Problems with a Chevy Tahoe 4x4

My sisters Tahoe started cutting out trying to
pass a truck she slowed down and tried to
accelerate again it cut out exited Hwy and
died while exiting.  Waited a few minutes and
started right up and ran fine the rest of the
way home but she babied it because she was
scared it would die again and she had her two
girls with her

Could be a dirty fuel filter that allows just enough to run but full throttle demands to much fuel runs out but flows enough as pressure drops to run eng when it restarts. You could check fuel rail pressure with a gauge, or get flow data from computer live data. Or do it old school drive (and time) full throttle see if it dies, if it dose change filter and try again, runs longer fixed.
