Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi I have a question I have a  95 chevy tahoe
manual 4x4. I'm not sure if my kids accidentally
moved the 4x4 gear while wresting  but the truck
doesn't  move in any gear when it is on 2WD and
can be pushed even tho its on park.. and it make a
weird sound but  When I change it to 4x4 it drives
back and forth. Can anyone help me figure it out
please.

Hello. Try putting shifter in neutral on flat pavement. Then shift the 4x4 selector up and down then back to 2 wheel. Gear selector might be stuck internally and might just need selector operated couple times in full motion to catch the gear.
