how do i get the heater return hose from the back of the engine? it's stuck and have limited tools.

this is the hose that goes from back of the engine to a joint that splits to coolant reservoir and splits to firewall. help. im a chick and need my car for work!

Hoses are notorious for getting stuck in place. Heat the hose with a hair dryer, and work a small screwdriver in around the hose connection to free it up. But if you're replacing it anyway, go ahead and cut it using anything that works.

Thank you so much Norm. I am extremely please to say that I finally got the repair completed and now am driving it once again. This particular vehicle used to be a cab; so it has almost 300k on it and it's still running strong. =)

oh...and i ended up cutting the hose to remove it.
